- Homeowners can receive a tax credit equal to 30% of their investment, up to $1,500 total for the two years of 2009 and 2010.
- Only available for home improvements, not new construction.
- Windows or doors must be installed between Feb. 2009 and Dec. 31, 2010.
- Windows and doors must achieve a .30 or lower U-factor and .30 or lower Solar Heat Gain Coefficient to qualify. This is more stringent than the current ENERGY STAR® specifications.
