Looking for even more savings on the next home you build or remodel? A new energy bill offers a tax credit incentive for choosing ENERGY STAR-approved products when making home improvements from January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2007.
Homeowners upgrading to energy-efficient windows receive a tax credit for 10% of the purchase up to $200. Builders earn a credit up to $2,000 for homes saving at least 50% in energy, and $1,000 for an ENERGY STAR home.
